High School Quiz Bowl meeting
High School Quiz Bowl is holding an interest meeting this Wednesday, September 2 during lunch in Sra. Girgan’s classroom.
Panther Athletic Club
The Panther Athletic Club is Pinewood’s athletic booster club. PAC funds support a wish list of items needed to supply the proper equipment, support and recognition to the many boys’ and girls’ athletic teams at Pinewood.
New for 2020-2021, PAC is offering online membership registrations. To register, or for more information, click here: https://www.pinewoodprep.com/athletics/panther-athletic-club.cfm.
Panther Tracks
Pinewood uses Panther Tracks, an easy online system to report full-day absences due to illness or for other reasons. The attendance portion of the form is shared with administrative staff and replaces the current phone call or email. The illness and symptoms reporting section goes only to the school nurse and is completely confidential. To access Panther Tracks, please click here: https://goo.gl/forms/f65mkTPFtFiC5KwA2. It can also be accessed in FACTS/RenWeb under the Announcements menu.

A Message from Nurse Angela Billingsly
In order to protect the health of the entire Pinewood community, it is imperative that parents remember to speak with their student about signs and symptoms of COVID. These symptoms include:
- Fever or chills
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
Due to a high transmission rate of COVID-19 in the Charleston area, DHEC requires that any student presenting to the health office with any ONE of the above symptoms be sent home. Before the student returns to school he/she must complete one of the following:
- Request a note from your child’s pediatrician that gives permission for the child to return to school; or
- Provide the school with proof of a negative COVID test; or
- The student may isolate at home for 10 days provided he/she remains symptom free.
If your student has one of these symptoms as part of an ongoing condition please email Nurse Angela to update our records. This will help prevent the student from having to visit the doctor unnecessarily. Thank you for doing your part to keep the Pinewood community healthy!
Tuesday Birthdays:
Paisleigh Dasinger – grade 6
Corley Watson – grade 9
