Spring Sports
Please note that Spring sports will be starting soon. Every student athlete must have a current sports physical on file and be registered in 8to18 to be able to participate. If you have any questions please contact Coach Osborne.

JV/Varsity Soccer Try-outs

  • Girls and Boys Varsity soccer try-outs will begin February 1 at 3:30 p.m. for those in grades 8-12. Please meet on the main field.
  • Girls and Boys JV soccer try-outs will begin February 8 at 3:30 p.m. for those in grades 6-10. Please meet on the back field.

    • Who: Girls wanting to play lacrosse this spring in grades 8 – 12
    • Where: Backfield behind Tennis Courts
    • Time: 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
    • When: Jan. 13, 14, 18, 20 and 21
    • What is needed….water Bottle, cleats or athletic shoes, stick and goggles.

Jeans in January
Jeans in January is a longstanding tradition for Pinewood’s faculty and staff members. During this unprecedented year, we are extending the opportunity to wear jeans for the month of January to our student body as well!

For a $20 donation, each student can wear jeans or khaki pants for the month of January, along with any Pinewood spirit wear top. Proceeds will go toward an end-of-year celebration for the ages! Our community deserves to have a special event that we can all look forward to as May approaches (date TBD). Fridays will continue to be Spirit Days for all students, regardless of participation in Jeans in January. Please note, Jeans in January attire will follow the same rules regarding jeans and spirit wear as stated in the Uniform Guidelines.

All funds collected through the student Jeans in January initiative will support an end-of-year celebration. Students who participate in Jeans in January will automatically receive free admission to the year-end party (more details to follow).

Students interested in participating can apply the $20 donation to their Panther Pass with parent permission. Parents, please visit the links listed below to confirm your student’s participation:

Uniform Guidelines Reminder

Please be reminded of the following uniform guidelines for cold weather days:

  • Tights and Leggings
    • Tights or leggings may be worn under dresses, jumpers, skirts or skorts;
    • Leggings are not to be worn separately as pants;
    • Students will be expected to wear solid colored blue, black, white, or gray leggings or tights under plaid skirts, skorts, and dresses; 
    • Students may wear print or solid colored leggings or tights with blue, gray, or tan uniform skirts, skorts, and dresses.
    • Students may not wear athletic attire (i.e. joggers) on school days;
    • On Friday Spirit Wear Days, students may only wear leggings with uniform skirts, skorts and dresses;
    • Students may not wear leggings with a shirt or sweatshirt only; and
    • All skirts, skorts, shorts, dresses and jumpers are required to be within 3 inches from the top of the knee.
  • Optional Outerwear
    • All students may wear outerwear from Lands’ End with an approved collared shirt underneath in classrooms;
    • Students may also wear Pinewood branded outerwear with appropriate school colors and logos in classrooms (with the exception of hoodies);
    • Students are prohibited from wearing outerwear that is not school-approved while in school buildings or classrooms. However, they may wear such items (i.e. winter coats) in between classes when moving outdoors between buildings with the exception of hoodies;
    • For students seeking school-approved outerwear options, Pinewood partners with SquadLocker to offer team and general school spirit wear.

Please remember to label all uniform items–especially sweaters, jackets, and coats. Please review the Uniform Guidelines for additional information.

Absence Reporting on Panther Tracks for all Pinewood Students
It is imperative that absences are documented by parents on Panther Tracks as soon as possible. When a student is absent for a full school day, for any reason, parents are expected to report the absence on Panther Tracks the day of the absence, but no later than one day after the absence. Jeans in January is a longstanding tradition for Pinewood’s faculty and staff members. During this unprecedented year, we are extending the opportunity to wear jeans for the month of January to our student body as well!

For a $20 donation, each student can wear jeans or khaki pants for the month of January, along with any Pinewood spirit wear top. Proceeds will go toward an end-of-year celebration for the ages! Our community deserves to have a special event that we can all look forward to as May approaches (date TBD). Fridays will continue to be Spirit Days for all students, regardless of participation in Jeans in January. Please note, Jeans in January attire will follow the same rules regarding jeans and spirit wear as stated in the Uniform Guidelines.

All funds collected through the student Jeans in January initiative will support an end-of-year celebration. Students who participate in Jeans in January will automatically receive free admission to the year-end party (more details to follow).

Uniform Guidelines Reminder

Please be reminded of the following uniform guidelines for cold weather days:

  • Tights and Leggings
    • Tights or leggings may be worn under dresses, jumpers, skirts or skorts;
    • Leggings are not to be worn separately as pants;
    • Students will be expected to wear solid colored blue, black, white, or gray leggings or tights under plaid skirts, skorts, and dresses; 
    • Students may wear print or solid colored leggings or tights with blue, gray, or tan uniform skirts, skorts, and dresses.
    • Students may not wear athletic attire (i.e. joggers) on school days;
    • On Friday Spirit Wear Days, students may only wear leggings with uniform skirts, skorts and dresses;
    • Students may not wear leggings with a shirt or sweatshirt only; and
    • All skirts, skorts, shorts, dresses and jumpers are required to be within 3 inches from the top of the knee.
  • Optional Outerwear
    • All students may wear outerwear from Lands’ End with an approved collared shirt underneath in classrooms;
    • Students may also wear Pinewood branded outerwear with appropriate school colors and logos in classrooms (with the exception of hoodies);
    • Students are prohibited from wearing outerwear that is not school-approved while in school buildings or classrooms. However, they may wear such items (i.e. winter coats) in between classes when moving outdoors between buildings with the exception of hoodies;
    • For students seeking school-approved outerwear options, Pinewood partners with SquadLocker to offer team and general school spirit wear.

Please remember to label all uniform items–especially sweaters, jackets, and coats. Please review the Uniform Guidelines for additional information.

Absence Reporting on Panther Tracks for all Pinewood Students
It is imperative that absences are documented by parents on Panther Tracks as soon as possible. When a student is absent for a full school day, for any reason, parents are expected to report the absence on Panther Tracks the day of the absence, but no later than one day after the absence. Thank you for helping us accurately record student absences.

Time: 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.

What is needed….water Bottle, cleats or athletic shoes, stick and goggles.

Baseball conditioning workouts for grades 9-12 will be Jan. 11 – 15 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on the back practice field. No equipment allowed, conditioning only.
